Need and whether people would use something like this

I talked to a co-worker who has a bachelor's degree in death and dying. She thinks this is a great idea and said that based on what she's learned, an online forum would be a great way for people to deal with grief and cope with the loss of a loved one. When someone dies, people like to talk about it--I'm sure we've all found that in the course of writing obituaries, etc. It makes people feel better and sometimes it's an easier thing to do when you're not face to face with someone.

I don't think it's morally wrong to profit from death if you're providing a legitimate, tasteful service. This would provide a legitimate place to grieve, remember and learn. I talked about this issue with the death and dying coworker, too, and she likened it to the flower shop providing arrangements for an altar--it's profiting from someone's death, but it was someone's decision to make use of the shop and the flowers.
